Exactly the same ting happen to me.

I bought the pet one as well and find that I’m vacuuming after to get what it missed… I have to set up the house with barricades so it won’t get stuck on the carpet and go under things and get stuck. Sometimes when i get home i have to find it because its quit under something and cant get back to the docking station. So hopefully its a company that allows Me to return with no issue;)

We love Bob! I have kids and a dog, so I am a daily vacuumer. The idea of having a vacuum that did it for me on its own was very attractive. I’ve used a similar product that just didn’t cut it, so I really didn’t expect to love Bob as much as we do. Yep, we call him Bob. When we received Bob in the mail, we received a card that was kind of like a birth announcement with his name, Bob and our last name, as well as his date of birth and height. It was a fun way to receive him!!

Setting him up was simple. I followed the quick set up instructions and he was already charged enough to try him out. The cool thing about Bob is the more that you use him the “smarter” he gets. He’s learned our home and now keeps our living room and kitchen clean. He does vacuum the entire first floor of the house, but the majority of his time is spent in our main cleaning areas. Sure he gets stuck occasionally, but I’ve learned to move our dining benches away from our kitchen island so he doesn’t get stuck in between the two. We also have couches that have a space between the bottom of them and the hardwood floor that he sometimes get stuck underneath. But he’s pretty smart and usually gets out of the tight spaces himself. Bob is good about getting around things that the kids have thrown on the floor, though he’s not a fan of light cords or wires.

I really like that when Bob knows he’s low on batteries, he’ll go find his home (charging station) and put himself on it to recharge. You can also program and schedule him to do the cleaning you don’t have time for.

My kids like starting Bob up – it’s their job and they usually do it right before they leave for school in the morning. Our dog HATES our vacuum cleaner, and anytime she hears it start up she jumps and runs out of her bed to hide. She doesn’t even move when we start up Bob! To have no issues with the dog hiding from Bob has been awesome.

The only thing that I can negatively say about Bob is that he’s loud. We usually only let Bob do his job when we aren’t home or if we are outside. Trying to watch TV with Bob going doesn’t happen. He’s definitely not as loud as a regular vacuum cleaner, but he’s too loud to let run when we are home doing our normal routine.

Would I recommend Bob to others? Yes! He’s made my life easier and the kids like making him go. He doesn’t bother the dog and he’s good at his job.

When my family and I were deciding on which dog we would purchase, we took into consideration the fur. Somehow, we settled on a Pug and did not realize how much they shed. Apparently they have two layers of fur and the shedding never ends (and I mean never!). I was shocked at the fact that my floors are covered in fur just about the second I stop sweeping or vacuuming. So when I heard about the bObsweep that was designed specifically for pet hair, I jumped at the chance to try it out!

Bob arrived with his very own special delivery card that stated his name “Bob Smith” as well as weight and height. I thought this was a really cute touch by the company and I loved it. I could not wait to put him to work and so I pulled out the manual first. I breezed through it and realized that using Bob was actually going to be a lot easier than I thought. I found a good spot to plug in his base, installed his brushes (this took only about a minute) and put him down to charge. After about an hour, he was ready to clean up my pug Khaleesi’s fur. I warned my two young daughters (they are 3 and 5) as well as my husband that I was starting Bob up. I was not sure how loud he was going to be and I didn’t want them to be wondering what was going on. Bob was a lot quieter than we all expected (although he is not silent) and he did a great job! He went under our couches, chairs, and dining room table. He cleaned up the entire first floor on one charge (although he did need me to empty out his dustbin once in the middle).

I can not get enough of Bob! Once a week I have my daughters free their floors of toys and clothes (this is a feat in itself) and let Bob loose in their rooms. He does a fantastic job getting under their beds and dressers. We do need to use the stickers Bob came with when cleaning a dark rug in one of their rooms, but that is the only rug we have an issue with in the house. If it is the perfect time of day and the shades are open, we don’t need to use them at all. Every now and then Bob gets stuck, but he beeps and I know to go get him and move him. Then it is as simple as hitting his start button for him to continue his work.

Bob has several different cleaning modes – and even a mop attachment! My in-laws came over and were blown away by him (and are now looking in to buying one themselves). One of my favorite things about Bob is that he knows when he needs to charge. Once his battery gets low (15%) he will head back to his dock to charge. I have a three story house so if I am not home or don’t notice he is looking for his base, he will sometimes die on the second or third floor. But I just go plug him in or place him on his charger and he is fine. I personally love how easily he gets under furniture. My days of moving heavy beds and couches to clean under them are over! I couldn’t be happier! I highly recommend Bob!
