i bought it a couple of years ago, but have used it only a handful of times. We got a kick the first time I turned it on, watching it go around and around like a busy bee; but ever since, it will run around for two minutes and then display an error message. I’ve cleaned it and washed the filter sponge and the odd time this helps, but most times it will run around for two minutes then display the error message.

Nor does it go over the divisions from one room to another – it gets hung up – and it has, a couple of times, fallen the one step from the kitchen into the living room.

    Definitely not worth recommending.

We’ve had our Bobi (classic model) for 2 years now (purchased in July 2015 through Groupon). At first, he worked like a champ (aside from running into just about everything other than the walls; the obstacle sensing leaves something to be desired). Cleaning-wise, we were surprised at just how much he picked up! It was pretty impressive. Now, however, he doesn’t get much done, as he only holds a charge for about 5-10 minutes. I’m pretty disappointed with the battery, in the end, as he hasn’t had much run time in the 2 years we’ve had him. We don’t make use of the scheduling features, and only deploy it to the bedroom every couple of weeks, so I’d estimate his total run time at less than 50 total hours of vacuuming. Not sure I’d purchase a Bobi again.

We got Bob last year and have been using him at least 3 times a week to pick up after our heavily shedding husky. He has been absolutely great in picking up the hair and although he sometimes gets stuck here and there, we really appreciate his help. His battery life is starting to decline a bit . He started off at like 75 minutes and now he barely goes for an hour but that’s still pretty good. I thought I might have to pay for a battery soon but just found out through the company that the battery is under 2 years of warranty and I think that is INCREDIBLE! They really take good care of their customers.

So far, I love Bob. I had no idea my 2 cats and short-haired dog shed quite that much. I did have a Roomba. Yes, it did a lot more, and worked fine for a few years, but it also cost a lot more. So I’m not sure why the griping and complaining. One tends to get what one pays for, and for what I paid, if it lasts a year (even with service) I can toss it and get another. If I do this for three years, it will equal the cost of a Roomba, and make me just as happy. My old Roomba only lasted that long.

I purchased Bob with a Groupon about 1.5 years ago. Right out of the box I loved him. He worked so well and almost eliminated my pet hair issues. He got stuck sometimes, didn’t return to his docking station and sometimes just quit and displayed an error code…….but I still loved him. After less than a year, his battery life was very short (less than 20 min.) and he was behaving erratically. I paid the $25.00 shipping and returned him for repairs. He was gone about 6 weeks, but when he returned he was working fine. Now, after owning him for 18 months Bob will light up when direct charged, but will go dark immediately when he is unplugged from the adapter. He won’t respond at all on the dock. Customer Service says I can return him for repairs for a flat service fee of $80 plus shipping of $29.98. Then they would possibly subsidize the parts from 25 to 50% depending on the problem. Doesn’t take a genius to figure out that I will spend a minimum of $110.00 plus the $25 for the previous tune up. That’s $135.00 for repairs on a machine I can buy on Groupon right now for $199.00. I’m going to save my money and buy a Roomba!
