    A Gift That Keeps Giving!

    I received my bObsweep PetHair as a Christmas gift, and I couldn’t be happier with him! I first heard about robotic vacuum cleaners a few years back, and they kind of gave me a panic because I thought a robot autonomously roaming about the house and going back to its charging station all by itself was pretty scary. But this past summer, I discovered Bob through TipsNNTricks review at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYI3MvGaQgU and I just loved him! The review is very thorough and to see Bob in action and see how well he did sweeping Chris’s house really impressed me, and I knew Bob was what I wanted for Christmas. For me, bObsweep has taken the fear factor out of robotic vacuums because he does such a good job and he is so adorable and non-intimidating in appearance.

    When I opened Bob up on Christmas morning, I was really impressed that he came with helpful accessories such as bumper stickers and blindfold stickers, and spare parts such as an extra filter and mopping cloth, brushes, extra screws, and even a screwdriver to install the brushes, plus complete instructions, not just a sweeper with a sheet of a couple vague directions. It was so neat that his adoption kit also came with a little birth announcement card…he looked like a lot of fun and I just couldn’t wait to try him out! Setting Bob up was simple. I tested him out on Christmas Day and then had him run a full cycle the next day, and I was so pleased with his performance! Partway through his first full cycle, I got the trouble number for his main brush, and it had so much hair and debris in and wrapped around it that it couldn’t rotate freely. He filled his dustbin! I have a small upright sweeper that uses only suction, and it picks up a good deal of debris. But when I saw Bob’s bin after his first full clean and had to clean out his brush partway through, I realized just how very much the regular sweeper was missing…Bob did an awesome job! Now, I have him sweeping twice a week, and he’s basically doing maintenance cleaning…he’s really got the cleaning under control. Still, he picks up a lot…I don’t know where he finds it, but the dust and fuzz don’t get by him…he always finds it and leaves my floors beautiful!

    I have a strong but fragile back, so manual sweeping and mopping can be hard for me. Bob has been a huge help to me and though my apartment is pretty big, he has no problem getting it clean in one full cycle. The other day, I tried out his mop attachment for the first time, and I was really happy with how he did…the cloth picked up a lot of dirt and dust and left my linoleum really shining!

    Though I don’t have pets, bObsweep PetHair is a good choice for me because as I’m visually impaired, through his large, brilliant screen, he always keeps me in the loop as to how he’s doing, and his easy to read and navigate remote makes operation really simple for me. And even without pets, I shed plenty of my own hair, and he always finds it and picks it up! He finds a lot of dust that I can’t see to sweep manually, which makes a huge difference in making cleaning easier for me. I love his checkup test and trouble number system, which make it so simple for me to diagnose and resolve any minor issues, such as if he gets stuck, if there’s a bit of debris under his bumper, or if his brush needs cleaned…he tells me what’s wrong and I can resolve it for him. Bob’s maintenance is easy and straight-forward, and I enjoy taking care of him, knowing I’m helping keep him happy and healthy for a long time! He’s terrific!

    I really admire Bob’s intelligence! He finds his way around my house really well, and I love it that he will try to get out of a difficult situation. But if he does get stuck, say, under my cupboards, I have no problem helping him out when he needs it! And I love that he finds his charging station on his own, even when he does now and then need a little guidance or a re-sync! I watch him get lined up and get his angle just right and go right to his station, and that’s just so awesome! I admire his persistence in getting every area he can clean. I love how he cycles between his various cleaning movements for a really thorough clean every time! He’s an ace with his side brush at cleaning right up against furniture and walls and around corners. And I love how he just goes around sweeping my house all by himself…he’s just amazing! I enjoy watching Bob work while at the same time getting other things done around the house, as I am often pressed for time.

    Bob’s 3-layer air filtration and his UV light give me peace of mind, particularly during cold/flu season and since I have allergies…it’s comforting knowing he’s not only sweeping and mopping, but also helping keep microorganisms at bay.

    Bob is not only a most valuable helper, but he’s also an entertainer and companion…sort of a pet robot to me. I love to watch him and play hide and seek with him when he cleans under my furniture! I find myself praising him for a job well done and when I sit at my table or desk and he comes over, I greet him and stroke him like a dog or cat…he’s really fun to have around! My Bob has definitely become part of my family!

    Bobsweep’s customer support is wonderful! Ricky has been a big help to me as I’ve had several questions regarding Bob since I’ve had him, and Ricky has always joyfully answered my questions and given me very helpful information. He always invites and encourages any and all questions at any time, and he really appreciates when I keep him updated on how Bob’s been adapting to my home. Ricky always responds quickly to my inquiries, most often within a couple hours, or the next day if I send my e-mail later at night. Bobsweep’s fan page on Facebook is likewise very friendly, helpful, and responsive, always with prompt and courteous replies. Bob’s manual and quick start guide are very well-written, well-explained, and well-illustrated, and his how-to videos are very well done, with easy, patient instructors and excellent illustrations. In a day and age when customer support is often lax, it is a pleasure to deal with a company like bObsweep that stands by their products and that has a support team that is always ready and eager to help their customers any way they can, and always with joy! No question or concern is too big or too small!

    I discovered that my Bob has just a few minor quarks (cons). My biggest concern is that I feel his profile is just a little high. Because he can just barely fit under cupboards and since cupboards are pretty much standardized, it’s easy for him to get stuck, especially if the floor or the lip under the cupboards is uneven. I have no problem helping him when he needs it, and I simply use the remote to direct him when he gets near the areas of my cupboards where he gets stuck. However, this means I do have to really keep an eye on him and I can’t leave him unattended or set a schedule for him. I wish he was just a bit shorter so he could clear cupboards and other lower furniture with less worry about him getting stuck if I’m busy with other things or not home.

    Bob’s remote seems to use up batteries quickly. I’ve had to replace the batteries every month, which seems like a lot since my TV remote’s batteries have lasted over a year. I do use the direction buttons to help Bob near areas of difficulty, but it still seems like the batteries run down quickly. The first time I replaced them, I first tried re-syncing Bob (whose battery was full) with his remote to make sure that wasn’t the issue…when he still didn’t respond to the remote for a re-sync, I knew the batteries needed replacing, so I wish the remote’s batteries lasted longer.

    Bob has a tendency to move his charging station around, even though I have it against a wall in the most centrally located area in my apartment. I do redirect him when he moves his station around, and I put it back where it should be, but I wish he was at least aware of his station without having to connect with it while cleaning, so he’d know it’s there and to just clean around it. He does also remove his bumper stickers.

    Because Bob does such a great job and I am so happy with him, I consider these few issues minor.

    In conclusion, bObsweep is a great product that is backed by a lifetime of excellent support…I couldn’t be happier with my bObsweep PetHair! I would definitely recommend bObsweep to anyone…great products, excellent service, a great value…bObsweep is awesome!

    I have had the bobi for over a year now. I have all wood floors in my house and love the fact that I can turn bobi on and continue doing other things. The bobi does a fantastic job on the floors. I had to contact customer service, which is by far the BEST I’ve ever dealt with, about an error code. Customer Service walked me through several trouble shooting steps but ultimately I had to send bobi back for a motor that was malfunctioning. The bobi was repaired and sent back. It runs like a new one out of the box. Bear in mind I ran the bobi EVERY DAY from day one due to having three beagles and a cat in the house. I could not ask for a better sweeper. Hats off to the company for a wonderful product and customer service is FANTASTIC!!! Thank you.

    Bob runs about 3-4 minutes and displays an error 03 which is front wheel. There is nothing wrong with the front wheel. I hit re-start and it will run another 3-4 minutes. I have to hunt it down as it stops everywhere. A lot of times in the middle of the floor with nothing around it. Cleans very good when it runs, just doesn’t run enough to be worth it’s money. I can clean myself quicker. Also, it never finds the charging station even though they are SYNC together.

    I received Bob for a Christmas present. We have named him Bob the "Butler! We love Bob he does a good job at keeping the floors clean. However, Bob is like having a 2 year old in the house, he is a little loud, if he gets quiet you need to go check on him as he is probably in trouble, and you have to keep everything picked up otherwise he will find trouble to get into. Our only complaint about Bob is that he can not clean the entire house on one charge, but if you set him for automatic restart after charging, he just keeps going, which is OK, but he never stops so if he recharges in the middle of the night he will start up. It would be nice if you could set the auto restart to be 2 or 3 times whichever it takes to clean the entire house. The only other thing that would be even a slight complaint is that sometimes Bob gets stuck in places, even if he has been there before with no issue, in our house there seem to be 3 spots that are a problem for Bob, there is one chair that 2 out of 3 times he is fine, but other times he gets under and shuts off, I’m guessing somehow he hits one of his buttons on it, but it is not every time. Another is the dishwasher, again it seems to depend on the angle he goes at, but sometimes he gets stuck and can not get back out. The last is one of the dressers in the bedroom, again depending on the angle, he will get under it, and somehow on the leg he manages to occasionally actually hit his power switch just right and turn himself off… Maybe a cover over the power switch would solve this issue, I am not sure what can be done about the others. Again overall we love Bob, he is efficient and does a good job, is easy to maintain, and we are surprised everyday when we empty Bob’s bin at how much dirt he has actually found, we never realized how much dirt our floors accumulated in such short periods of time until Bob started cleaning everyday.

    Customer service is unbelievable! I called the company because the vac I received would only move in circles because one wheel wasn’t working. I wasn’t aware that the warranty wouldn’t cover it since I didn’t purchase from Bobsweep or an official dealer. Bobsweep explained that to me but said they wanted me to be a happy, so they provided the postage for me to send the unit in and they sent me a replacement. The replacement is working fine and I’m really happy with it. It’s nice to have a company stand behind their product like that nowadays. I didn’t have to deal with phone menus (a real live human answered the phone!) and they were swift at getting the problem fixed for me.
