We received Bob as a Christmas gift. I charged him up and he went three feet. We kept getting a dustbin code. We tried many times to get him to work, he would not. I called and talked to Adam. We sent Bob back and he underwent an operation. He came back to us and still had the same problem.we sent him back for a second time and this time we were sent a new unit. I have to say that Adam was great during this whole process. Thank-you Adam for your help and patience. Bob seems to be working quite well now, thanks to everyone.
Purchased Bob Pet hair in hopes that it would be helpful. Needless to say, it did the bare minimum after several uses. I have non allergenic dogs, that barely shed. I can’t imagine if they did. I spent more time checking the manual trying to trouble shoot each feature, just to realize its not very powerful and that I’d have to contact the support desk. Then when I was checking the warranties online, and it was the price of purchasing another Bob sweep. I’m PO! And will contact BBB to report this company misleading product.
I was really optimistic about our Bobsweep pet and tried my best to love him… but I just can’t. His job in our home is to pick up animal hair, Cat litter, and sand (we live in FL). He seems to gather pet hair together and leave it behind in clumps on the floor. The cat litter and sand he pushes into the grout lines of our tile floor… and he seems incapable of picking anything up from those grout lines. I have even swept the floor and left him little piles to pick up and he can’t seem to do that, he just pushes it around. I’ve gone through this website’s trouble shooting section and nothing seems to help. His motor is sucking since air blows out the back end.
Everyone else’s complaints about getting stuck under cabinets are accurate. He gets stuck under cabinets and under our bar stools. He obviously doesn’t map the room(s) he works in. I may try to see if he will work upstairs in our carpeted rooms but he isn’t working for the purpose we intended for him when we bought him. That’s what I get for not springing for the more expensive robot vacuums.
I have been using my Bobsweep for the last 4 or 5 months and to be honest, find it only helps moderately in the cleaning. This is primarily because I always have to stand and “supervise” that he doesn’t get stuck in furniture and on carpets, which happens about every 5 minutes. And the most annoying part is that he gets stuck in the SAME pieces of furniture over and over, there is no mechanism for which the robot knows where he has already been to not get stuck a second, or third, or even 7th time in most cases.
The vacuum function works great and reduces my own vacuuming load, but I don’t see any saved effort from when I take the vacuum on my own. I wish that he would have a better sensor to know when he can or cannot fit somewhere, and that I didn’t have to step in to “rescue” him every 5 minutes. I really want to love this product, but feel frustrated every time I use it.
We have been so impressed with our bObi Pet! We have all hardwood floors in our home and it has been a lifesaver! As a busy mom, it’s so convenient to turn Bob on first thing in the morning and let it do my vacuuming chore for me! It has been fantastic up keep for our home. It’s also SUPER sleek and stylish. My daughter even gets entertainment from it!
